Below is a picture of placing a microchip in the tail web of a 8-month old doe. This is a very easy process on the goat and me. In the video clip of this process, the goat gives a little holler....but this is unusual. Normally they hardly know it's been done. Not shown on the video, for file-size reasons, is the fact that the goat is restrained only in a stanchion, an alcohol swab was used on the area to be injected before and after the injection.
