This is an inexpensive shelter. This one is made of 4-16' cattle panels side by side forming an 8'X16' sheltered space. Ample room to shelter 6-8 goats. The panels are bent in a hoop then slightly overlapped and then anchored to the ground via fence posts. A heavy duty tarp is then attached. Leaving it open on both ends is fine if the shelter is positioned with regards to allowing good ventilation in the summer and protection from cold north winds in the winter. Being able to put one of my hay bale feeders inside is a plus to allow dry hay access during inclimate weather.
